A street sign from Essex, England that lists behaviors that are no acceptable to engage in on public streets. For some reason the population of the UK has to be reminded that things like public consumption of alcohol and drugs, urination and defecation, littering and spitting, are not appropriate activities for public spaces.
I wonder who this could possibly be directed to?

In Savannah...and I would suspect New Orleans...public consumption of alcohol is permitted. I learned that last time I was in Savannah, and I bought another glass of wine just to do it. Kinda cool. But then again, no doubt there are those who would greatly abuse the privilege.
As for spitting, I get it. But sometimes ya just gotta!
Yeah, I get that drinking and spitting might be borderline, but come on do we really need to publicly remind someone that we've moved past public urination and defecation? That we've suffered the public health problems caused by those things, and we'd prefer not to do so again.
Imagine how bad it had to have been that they'd be compelled to post signage to inform people public crapping and pissing is bad form.
When you import the third world, why would you be surprised that those you import don't change their behavior. Clearly what works in Karachi should work equally as well in Essex.
When I was in Taiwan, I saw kids running around rural villages with no pants on so that they could go wherever they wanted. In that context, it didn't seem to be a big deal. My first time in Haiti, I saw a guy taking a dump on the beach. To be fair the beach was full of trash so it wasn't like he was making it significantly worse. However, I wasn't planning to use the beach as a toilet, and if he was magically transported to another country, I'd expect him to crap in a toilet.
From a bigger perspective, this demonstrates that these immigrants are not planning to assimilate and that they expect those in the UK to accept child rape, cousin marriage, shitting in the streets, and all the rest because they aren't changing.
