One of the things that kind of go hand in hand with solar farms is their location, and exposure to weather other than just sunny days. Strangely enough it appears that nobody really thought much about things like hail or tornadoes. Well a Nebraska solar farm was destroyed by a hail storm, and the now acres of solar panels will be headed for a landfill, and vast sums of money will be spent to replace this "renewable" energy source.

It's also interesting how many of the minerals that are vital to the things like electric car batteries, cell phones, and the like all come from countries with oppressive political regimes, poor human rights, virtually zero environmental regulations, and allow child (slave) labor in the mines the produce them.
