1st Amendment Hamstringing

Ketangi Brown Jackson, SCOTUS justice seems to be suggesting that the first amendment might be impeding government action.

Lord knows we wouldn't want the Constitution being able to "hamstring" the government.

I just saw this story tonight on Fox. It's astounding that someone a president found competent to serve on the United States Supreme Court has no understanding of the Constitution. It almost makes it seem that she was nominated by this president I was told is a more intelligent and moral man than Trump simply because she's a woman and black. It suggests that stupid people pick stupid people for high positions.

The three people Trump nominated are less than what I hoped they could be. Not a one seems to be of the caliber of Thomas, Alito or Scalia. But Brown-Jackson isn't worthy to be compared to anyone. She is one of those described in the video presented in my most recent post at my blog.

She's clearly unqualified for her position. To be unaware that the 1st amendment is intended to limit government's power to control speech indicates a total inability to understand the most basic aspects of her position.

She does, however, defend the intentions of the left to stifle speech questioning or opposed to the leftist narrative. So there' that.

Yes, there is. She seems clear that she believes that the government should stifle and regulate speech in direct contravention of SCOTUS precedent and the language of the constitution.
