The FBI just arrested a credentialed journalist for reporting on J6. Apparently the Biden administration has decided to take a page from Putin's book
On a different subject, there is a section of the USDA that facilitates the exportation of grain across the globe. For reasons unknown to me, this part of the USDA is undergoing a financial shortfall. What's interesting is that this part of the USDA is partially funded by user fees, which haven't changed in years. They went to their clients and broached the possibility of raising the fees, and the clients agreed. Then the Biden administration stepped in and said that they could not solve their problem by raising fees the amount they needed to raise them. Given the inability of the uniparty to actually fulfill their duties to pass a budget and spending bills yearly, it seems strange that the administration would shut down such a reasonable solution to the problem.
I have no idea of whether or not there is news coverage of this, I'm getting my information from inside the affected office.

1. Once again Dan opens with a straw man.
2. I'm not supporting him so much as pointing out that a credentialed journalist was arrested (and agreed to turn himself in), out in shackles and chains, for a "misdemeanor".

3. Only Dan gets to define what "real" journalists are. Because he took some JUCO classes about journalism, he's an expert.
4. Dan now supports federal agents arresting a journalist who agreed to turn himself in, putting him through a perp walk complete with waist and leg chains, because he's been ACCUSED of a misdemeanor.
5. One of Dan's reasons why those who enter the US without availing themselves of the legal process to do so, is that entering the US illegally (the first time) is only a misdemeanor and unworthy of pursuing.

What a strange take. Nowhere did I suggest that these folks who provide a service that is federally mandated, and beneficial to US grain producers, suggested raising taxes. But you can go with the straw man also.
I did say that they had reached out to the companies who they contract with and discussed raising the fees they charge for the service they provide, and that the companies agreed that the increased fees were appropriate and were willing to pay them.
But other than that, excellent job.
You misunderstand, I was, based on how you reported it, suggesting they were behaving like the federal government who raises taxes to get more money. They are discussing raising fees to get more money. Then, Biden says they can't because only he and the federal government can do that. See?

Yes, they are discussing raising fees (which haven't been adjusted in years) to accurately reflect the cost of providing the services they provide. They asked, the clients agreed, the administration said no.
The point is that the Biden administration is NOT allowing them to fund their services, despite having the agreement of the clients. For some reason the administration is choosing not to raise revenue.
I see no reason to be forgiven. Your comment was confusing and unclear. It's now slightly less unclear.
Can you find even ONE actual news story that demonstrates journalistic integrity from Baker? I've been looking and can't find even a bad "news" story from Baker. What makes him an "credentialed" journalist? That he says he is? That he's had (perhaps?) a written piece show up in "Blaze Media..."

(And to be clear: MAYBE Baker IS an actual legitimate journalist. I just can't find any data to support that conclusion.)

Oh, he's a "reporter" because he says so on FB. No data about his education or experience. Just a claim.
Again, an actual news journalist would reasonably ask questions. You should read more actual journalists and not whatever this guy is.
Maybe I only have a community college experience and education in journalism, but even I know this much. (and noting, two years of community college education in journalism, working on an actual - award winning - newspaper is probably two more years than you've had, is that fair? I'm not elevating those two years of community college education beyond what it is, but noting that it IS something.)

Your defense of the Biden administration for arresting a journalist for engaging in journalism, and for their engaging in a perp walk, complete with waist chains and ankle chains, is really all I need to see.
The fact that you can come up with reasons why, in your subjective opinion, he's not a "real" journalist is irrelevant. The story here is that the Biden administration is arresting a journalist.
One of the reasons why many people thought that the internet was a wonderful thing was that they believed that it would allow all sorts of people to engage in journalism and give those journalists the medium to reach people. This notion that the only "real" journalists are those who work for publications that are on your personal list of acceptable "real" journalism outlets, is outdated. Technology has given all sorts of people the ability to be journalists and to report, with video and everything, with a potential worldwide audience. Obviously, this sort of thing is going to annoy experts like your self, with your stunning journalism CV and vast experience. But progress is a good thing. You don't have to agree with the political slant of these journalists, nor do you even have to pay any attention to them.
The issue is that the Biden administration arrested a journalist, complete with chains and perp walk, for a MISDEMEANOR. You, yourself, have argued that the MISDEMEANOR of illegally entering the US is not worthy of prosecution, but this particular MISDEMEANOR demands chains and a perp walk.
While you flaunt your vast "journalism" expertise, I guess that means that my actual degree in journalism and 4 years of college newspaper, radio, and TV experience pale in comparison to your expertise.
