This story makes two points well.
1. So much of the police leadership in DFL controlled urban areas are simply leftist bureaucrats who'll do anything to keep their job and make their leaders happy.
2. The MSM ignores this story, while going on a rampage against Trump trying to crack down on crime in DC.
"It has been revealed that DC Police Commander Michael Pulliam was placed on leave after he and MPD command directed officers to downgrade felony reports and alter crime classifications, such as “felony assault,” deliberately manipulating data to falsely show a 26% drop in violent crime in 2024."
IMO this story should be HUGE, and it's very likely not the only instance of DFL police employees and prosecutors doing exactly this. But, it'll blow over because the MSM doesn't want to go against the narrative.

I've no doubt of it. Any party which will alter the law as regards theft in order to reduce felony convictions and lessen prison time for a certain racial group which is disproportionately responsible for such crimes, will game the numbers to make it look like they're doing their jobs.
I have no doubt that this is happening to some degree in virtually every city run by the DFL. Whether it's pushing cops to downgrade felonies to misdemeanors, Soros DA's letting people off easy, or simply cooking the books, it's a bullshit way to play around with public safety. It seems like public safety is one of the most basic responsibilities of city government and these sorts of games go against that responsibility.
