Be sure to wear flowers in your hair. Because hopefully the scent of the flowers will mask the smell of human faces on the sidewalks.

They mention all sorts of reasons, but the reality is that people don't go to downtown SF anymore, and part of that reason is the fact that crime, homelessness, drug use, and the like run rampant. On top of that I just saw that Burger King is closing all of their interior seating and ordering to move to a cashless, drive through only model.
SF isn't the only place this is happening. We constantly see videos of people stealing with impunity from drug stores, grocery stores and places like Target. Then we see more people bitching because these places either close or take steps to protect their merchandise from theft. We're also seeing cities choose not to prosecute retail theft, and other crimes. One can only guess why this is primarily happening in large urban areas. What could large urban areas possibly have in common, that might be part of the problem?

It seems rather clear to me that those most accurately or appropriately labeled "the oppressed" in this country are not the poor, the black community, even the Jews and certainly not the sexually perverse those like Dan find so appealing. The largest percentage of the population who are oppressed are the law-abiding. All those listed above and more are among the law-abiding, as the law-abiding are comprised of people from every demographic to a degree no other faction is.
The law-abiding are oppressed not only by the law-breakers, but also by the mentally disturbed and most heinously by those leftists in authority who enable them by their perverse laws and policies. And because these morally corrupt "progressives" continually demonstrate a wanton lack of concern for the law-abiding who elected them and pay their undeserved salaries by failing to protect them and by keeping them unarmed and defenseless, the law-abiding have no option but to flee. In doing so, they leave the law-abiding without the ability to leave more outnumbered by the lawless, the insane and the corrupt who govern.
Times like this brings to mind "Death Wish". We could use Charles Bronson now.
