There was quite an outcry about "trans" girl Nex Benedict being beaten to death for being "trans", the left was outraged and jumped on the bandwagon of one more "victim" to lionize.
Unfortunately that facts came out and we find that the story so gleefully reported was not True.
Yet for some reason Rolling Stone decided to run with the narrative even after the narrative had been proven false. That's some great journalism for you .

From what I've read from the beginning, the cause of death is not yet known.
"Benedict told police they were beaten by three girls in the girls' restroom at Owasso High School in Owasso, Oklahoma. Benedict died the following day. As of February 29, 2024, final autopsy and toxicology reports are still pending, and the cause of their death has not yet been established."
Wikipedia, NPR, etc.
Do you have some secret knowledge on the story? What is your theory? That she wasn't harassed and beaten up? What's your source?

According to the RS story you cited...
"I HAVE BEEN thinking a lot about Nex Benedict, the 16-year-old transgender student who died on Feb. 8, a day after allegedly being assaulted in the restroom at Owasso High School in Oklahoma. Although Nex’s death is still being investigated, his grandmother has said he had been bullied in the past for his identity."
What specifically do you think is factually mistaken there?
Dan
I just read of another "trans" dude wishing eternal suffering in hell for an actual woman who criticized his entry into women's power lifting competitions, then daring to compare his "suffering" with those of black slaves and such. But really...they're not disordered at all!
"Do you have some secret knowledge on the story? What is your theory? That she wasn't harassed and beaten up? What's your source?"
I'd start with the video that shows her starting the "fight", the cause of death, and body camera video that contradicts the narrative.
"What specifically do you think is factually mistaken there?"
Given that nothing in that tiny snippet is actually a statement of fact, there's nothing to be factually mistaken about.
is actually a statement of fact, there's nothing to be factually mistaken about...
The quote in question:
"[he was] allegedly being assaulted in the restroom at Owasso High School in Oklahoma.
Although Nex’s death is still being investigated,
his grandmother has said he had been bullied in the past for his identity."
It's NOT a fact that he was allegedly assaulted? Of course, it is.
His death is still being investigated? Yes, factually, it is.
He's been bullied in the past for his identity? Do you have some evidence that he WASN'T, that this is NOT a fact claim?
You are aware, perhaps, that nearly all transgender young people and adults report being bullied, harassed, beatened and bothered? Do you think they're all lying? Based on what?
I repeat: what SPECIFICALLY is factually mistaken there? AND if you're going to allege that these people are lying, then the onus is on you to present some data, which, of course, you can't. You don't know these people.
"It's NOT a fact that he was allegedly assaulted? Of course, it is."
Given the evidence that she/he started whatever happened, this is not a fact.
"His death is still being investigated? Yes, factually, it is."
It is, but it being factual is irrelevant to your point, especially as the investigation seems to be undermining the Narrative.
"He's been bullied in the past for his identity? Do you have some evidence that he WASN'T, that this is NOT a fact claim?"
Given the fact that there is no hard evidence of this claim, and no evidence of the nature or severity of the alleged "bullying", this doesn't seem to rise to the level of objective fact. It also doesn't seem relevant to the his/her attack, or to his/her death.
"You are aware, perhaps, that nearly all transgender young people and adults report being bullied, harassed, beatened and bothered? Do you think they're all lying? Based on what?"
Irrelevant to this case. Unless you believe that anecdotal evidence that something allegedly happened to someone else, is somehow directly relevant to this case, I fail to see your point.
"I repeat: what SPECIFICALLY is factually mistaken there? AND if you're going to allege that these people are lying, then the onus is on you to present some data, which, of course, you can't. You don't know these people."
The statement you snipped out of the article was someone (mostly) giving their opinion on what happened. Other than the fact of it being investigated, the rest was conjecture or hearsay, not objective fact. Further, if the investigation undermines the narrative, it's likely that the investigation will be criticized or ignored. Regardless of the facts, the Narrative will be repeated.
Here's an actual fact: These people are disordered and those like Dan aren't helping by their enabling of their disordered feelings and actions compelled by them. If Dan cared, he'd oppose those "professionals"...those "experts"...who abuse their positions to push their agenda, thereby exploiting these disordered people for their personal advantage. They, too, are enabling, not helping nor providing the care, service and counseling they so desperately need.
I think that it's obvious that folx like Dan are exploiting the situations of all sorts of people to serve their political and social goals. What'll be interesting is whether or not they'll follow the data, when/if the data disagrees with the Narrative.
My favorite alcoholic beverage is embalming fluid. I drink is literally every Easter.
Do you think I am lying? I find your potential judgments to be not rational or moral.
