This is a new bit of "research" from the "prestigious" Duke University Press which "uses a lot of strange words to argue that “black” and “anal” are ideologically and representationally synonymous.".
I can completely understand why people we know so revere the academic/peer review publishing process and the academy that generates graduates with useless degrees who need to publish this pointless trash to justify their academic existence.

Ironically, this kind of "research" is the result of "researchers" having their heads up their asses.
Given the conflation of anus and black does that mean you comment could be read that they have their heads up blacks?
That Dan and the ASPL worship and revere the kind of empty credentialism that this sort of this is the result of seems a sign of moral bankruptcy. When the author of something this patently stupid can claim to be published and benefit from that status, something is wrong. Not to mention the outright fraud that is rampant in the academy.
