Why was this young girl "brandishing and edged weapon" in public? That's the question that these media reports seem uninterested in pursuing.
One wonders why that might be.

I saw the video of the girl brandishing the weapons; it appeared there were foreigners (Muslim?) bothering her and another girl.
That is correct. This young girl and her sister (I believe) were being pursued by an adult Muslim male with the apparent/perceived intent to sexually abuse them. Yet the girl gets charged for trying to defend herself, while the guy doesn't even get mentioned. I've seen reports that she'd been sexually abused previously.
The government of the UK has chosen to submit to a minority of their residents and to establish a two tarred system of injustice that allows child rapists and abusers to get off lightly.
Strangely enough, Dan is on the side of those who would oppress and abuse children.
I feel like Wallace could solve this problem quite effectively.
Perhaps I should very often play "Scots Wha Hae" --the first tune I learned.
